The song and dance ensemble "Radany" is a prominent, young, up-and-coming performance ensemble that has been working hard on studying, reproducing and developing Ukrainian traditions, Ukrainian song and choreographic heritage since 2015.
The ensemble includes vocal, choreographic and instrumental groups. All artists have higher professional education. The first artistic director of the ensemble, Ilya Khanenko (2015-2018), united young artists for common goal. Today the ensemble is headed by Alexander Stahno.
The repertoire of the ensemble "Radany"is vary wildly: today it has more than 100 musical pieces. The artists constantly promote the Ukrainian song. In the creative treasury of the collective are the modern, folk, ceremonial, instrumental and even author's works, but the Ukrainian folk music is dominate.
For the present day, the collective has created 9 solo programs, artists constantly take part in regional and city events, festivals, All-Ukrainian projects, concert tours. In only two years of creative work the ensemble had concert tours to the city Kiev, Kharkiv region, Lviv region. It continues touring villages and cities of Lugansk region. The dramatic lighting, fancy national clothes, well-known Ukrainian traditions, unique choreography, sincere Ukrainian song, professional singing and musical accompaniment make the ensemble's programs truly unforgettable.
In the framework of the All-Ukrainian Cultural Integration Project "Ukrainian Donbass", which was initiated by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, artists of the song and dance ensemble "Radany" of the Luhansk Regional Philharmonic, took part in the cultural and art event "Unbowed Luhansk Region", and presented its program at the National Museum literature of Ukraine in March, 2016.
In May 2016, with the support of the Head of the Luhansk Oblast State Administration – the head of the regional military-civilian administration Yurii Harbuz, the ensemble presented 4 spring concerts, which successfully passed in the walls of the People's Halls of the Kharkiv region. Thanks to the project "Change the Country Together", initiated by the head of the region, and thanks to cooperation between Luhansk and Lviv regions, the song and dance ensemble "Radany" has been touring cities of Lviv region for two years.
The song and dance ensemble "Radany" and its artists are awarded with many honourable mention, commendations, diplomas and other awards. They constantly take part in regional and all-Ukrainian festivals and competitions, vie for the first place.
From 2016 vocalists of the ensemble has been taking part in the festival of a new Ukrainian song with the participation of artists from all over Ukraine. The soloist of ensemble Olena Semykobyla was awarded the diploma of the first degree laureate, the soloist Karyna Popova – the diploma of the second degree laureate, the soloist Oleg Borschov – the diploma of the laureate of the third degree. As a gift from the Honored Art Worker of Ukraine, Anzhela Yarmolyuk, Olena Semykobyla has received an author's song, the People's Artist of Ukraine, Femii Mustafayev, presented Oleg Borshchov with the exclusive right to render his own song. The vocalists of the ensemble has already received the awards in the category "Professional performers" in 2017 again.
On February 11, 2016 in Kharkov, the instrumental group on ensemble took part in the third open European festival-competition of instrumental and vocal art "The spirit art", where in the nomination "Instrumental creativity" the musicians demonstrated a high level of performing skills and became the winners of the first prize.
The ensemble and its individual artists have been repeatedly marked by the certificates of gratitude of the Luhansk Oblast State Administration – Luhansk Oblast Military and Civil Administration, the Lviv Regional Council, the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, and others, for a strong personal contribution to the popularization of Ukrainian culture, the high professionalism of the collective.
In a matter of two years of fruitful work, the ensemble of songs and dance “Radany” has achieved many results: doubled the number of its concerts, significantly expanded the listener`s audience, destroyed the borders between Eastern and Western Ukraine, made a strong contribution to the development of Ukrainian culture.
The ensemble does not stop today. The Philharmonic continues to create new wonderful programs, full of love for their homeland, in order to continue giving the joy, unforgettable emotions and impressions to the viewer.
